Simply stated, don’t fall for it. Here are the questions you need to ask these kinds of publishing companies who make these promises:
*What are the page views (not “hits”) for your website broken down monthly?
*What is the average time spent per visitor?
*How many book sales do you average daily? Monthly?
*What keywords does your website rank for?
*What page rank is your website?
2. Hybrid publishers want you to print 1,000-5,000 books up front. This one strikes a nerve with me because I lost a lot of money going this route with my first book. I printed 1,000 copies and one of the chapters became quickly outdated (this is very common). WHAM! I’m stuck with 1,000 copies and just donated $5,000 to the “Hybrid Publishing” book scam. You don’t know how much I would love to mention this company right now……
Oh, forgot to mention. They also charge you extra for warehousing the books. Please walk fast from companies like these. Let’s leave it at that.
